Paula White is a Banjima Traditional Owner and Managing Director of PMW Industries.
Her cultural heritage has been a significant influence throughout her life, instilled in her from a young age by her grandparents.
Paula’s grandfather was part of the stolen generation, taken from White Springs and placed in Roeland’s Mission where he was given the surname “White” based on his place of birth.
She spent almost a decade working for the WA Police Force, followed by eight years with the WA Department of Justice.
Paula also worked for the Gumala Aboriginal Corporation, where she supported Banjima, Nyiyaparli, and Innawonga Traditional Owners and their children in education, employment, and livelihoods. She is currently the Chairperson for the Banjima Native Title Aboriginal Corporation.
Paula is the Director of White Springs Demolition & Asbestos and has secured two large contracts with Rio Tinto for the supply and haulage of Rail ballast.
PMW Industries, under Paula’s efforts, secured a five-year operate and maintain Crushing and Screening contract to crush Iron Ore at Mining Area – C to BHP, partnering with CSI to execute the contract.
PMW Industries has recently established a Joint Venture with CSI after years of successful work and secured a ten year BHP Geoscience contract focusing on drill pads and pad work for mining exploration.
She aims to be a role model for other Indigenous businesses and women in the industry, showing that through honest hard work, opportunities will present themselves.
